FREE Home Depot Kids Workshop

Home Depot Kids Workshop will be held this weekend at all Home Depot stores from 9-noon. They will be making a rescue helicopter this week. Workships are designed for children ages 5-12. Go here for more details, but no sign up is necessary.

The workshops teach children do-it-yourself skills and tool safety, while at the same time helping to instill a sense of accomplishment. Additionally, this fun time allows for quality one-on-one time between adults and children.

In addition to the newly constructed project kit, each child receives a kid-sized orange apron, similar to The Home Depot associates' aprons, and an achievement pin.

FREE Cold Stone Ice Cream

Stop by the Vienna, WV (or any other for that matter) Cold Stone Creamery location tomorrow (September 27, 2011) from 5-8 pm and get a free 3-oz. Sprinkled With Wishes Creation. Donations to the Make-A-Wish Foundation is encouraged but not required.

Yo Gabba Gabba LIVE in Charleston, WV

Do you have a toddler or preschooler in your house?  If you do then you well know who Yo Gabba Gabba is!!  They are coming live to Charleston, WV next month (Friday, October 21)!  Get your tickets here--not a huge deal at over $25 a ticket but if you have a Gabba Gabba fan then this might just be the event for you!

LOWES Build and Grow Clinic

LOWES build and Grow Clinic this week (Saturday, September 24 at 10:00 AM) will be making this fire truck. Go here to sign up for this free kids building clinic. What a fun project with Fire Prevention Month coming up.  My son's birthday party is firetruck themed this EXACT day!!  Wonder if we can squeeze this activity into our already packed day.  It's too perfect to skip!

Each child will receive all the items needed for their truck as well as a free apron, goggles, a project themed patch, and a certificate when they complete their project. Project designed for children in grades 2-5.

Chick Fil A Family Night TONIGHT

Reminder that Chick fil A family night is TONIGHT from 5-7 (as every Tuesday night).  Your children can get a free kids meal with your dinner purchase.  Tonight is an exceptionally special night since it is Veggie Tales Themed--one of our favorites.

Pleasants County Fair

The 12th Annual Pleasants County Fair will be this weekend.  Sept 17-18 at the St. Marys Marina.  Published events are as follows.
Sept 17---
6:30pm-queen contest on the main stage
7:00pm-mini rod tractor pull and mud bog (at the St. Marys High school barn area)
7:30pm-concert by No More Tears on the main stage

Sept 18---
9:00am-events begin at the barn area-livestock show; wood chopping contest, draft pony pull, antique engines exhibit, ATV drag race
9:00am-events begin at the marina area-inflatables, miniature donkeys, cornhole tournament, sack races, art exhibition, youth games, barral car rides, pedal tractor pull, horse trolley rides and more.
1:00pm-live music begins at the marina and continues through the McGuffey Lane band on stage at 8pm

A horse trolley will take fair goers from te marina area to the barn area throught the fair.

West Virginia Roadkill Cook-Off----Marlinton, WV
