Walmart Coupon Policy Test Market

Friends tell me that Walmart in Vienna, WV-South Parkersburg, WV-and Ripley, WV (NOT the Marietta, OH store) are doing a trial run of offering double coupons.  I found some of the guidelines online and they are AMAZING!!!!  We are NEVER in a test market for ANYTHING so this is so exciting to me.

Not sure how long this trial will last but if you couple that with their price matching policy you should be able to score some GREAT deals at Walmart.  If I work out any amazing ones (or find anyone else doing it) I'll let you know.

1. They are doubling all MFG (ONLY) coupons up to $.99. That means $.75 is worth $1.50.

2. They are price matching and using double coupons for the same item

3. You must present each coupon with the item you are buying as they are doubling manually and must adjust the individual item, they cannot adjust the total.

I have a friend who works in one of the stores and I'm waiting on her to confirm it all (I have not been to confirm myself) but I know people who have tried it and it works like a charm.  This is GREAT for us coupon lovers and should make for some FANTASTIC deals!!

Office Depot FREE backpack and lunch sack

If you have ink or anything computer related to buy Office Depot is the place to be this week.  They are offering a FREE backpack and lunch sack with any $15 purchase (that's pretty much one thing of ink).

We needed ink anyway so we picked ours up today and they still have lots of everything in stock (except protractors) The backpack isn't a real nice one and certainly isn't big enough for an older child to take to school but it is the perfect size for my almost 4 year old and I LOVE that the lunch sack attaches to the front of the backpack.  This will probably be his "toy bag" for traveling and having his own little insulated bag for his snacks will be really handy too.  It would be a really handy size for taking snacks and drinks to an amusement park or zoo too PLUS, you wouldn't have to worry if it got lost or stolen.

Also, be sure and check out the $1, $2, and $3 deals in the school supplies for some great deals too.  Don't get sucked into buying other school supplies there . . . you will do much better pricewise at Walmart but the deals on the front couple pages are all pretty good and the free backpack well worth it if you need ink anyway.

Home Depot Kids Workshops (FREE)

Home Depot Kids Workshop will be held this weekend at all Home Depot stores from 9-noon. They will be making a pencil box this week. Workships are designed for children ages 5-12. Go here for more details, but no sign up is necessary.

The workshops teach children do-it-yourself skills and tool safety, while at the same time helping to instill a sense of accomplishment. Additionally, this fun time allows for quality one-on-one time between adults and children.

In addition to the newly constructed project kit, each child receives a kid-sized orange apron, similar to The Home Depot associates' aprons, and an achievement pin.
