Hiking in Kanawha State Forest--Wildflower Walk (Kanawha County)

On Sat. Apr. 24th you outdoors loving families can head on over to Charleston for the Ksff Osbra Eye Memorial Wildflower Walks at the Kanawha State Forest

Registration 9:00am to 9:30am at swimming pool area of Kanawha State Forest

Admission: $5 for adults, $2 for kids under 16

Walks: 9:30am to 12:30pm

Several different walks including wildflower identification, beginning and advanced birding and photography (be sure to bring a camera and binoculars)

Door prizes, raffle, hot dog sale and free drinks

Sounds like a great way to spend time together as a family learning something new together and getting some excersize at the same time.  I have never done anything like this before but would love to hear from those of you that have on whether your family enjoyed it and what ages it's most appropriate for.
